4 Time DISTRICT CHAMPS

FOUR TIME DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!! What an incredible accomplishment for Rhett’s high school cheer career. The first four pictures are from his freshman, sophomore, junior, and then senior year! I’m so proud of him! This year, each routine had a visible mistake. We were worried that we weren’t going to get it. Luckily, the scores came out in our favor and we won! So exciting! Such a fun day to be a Bee! 

Snow, Snow & More Snow

This is the first winter in a very long time that we have actually had snow! The past few years we have a snow storm here and there, but we haven’t had consistent snow that has stuck around. We have been in such a bad drought. This year though, we have had snow storm after snow storm. The snow just keeps getting deeper. It’s hard to tell from the picture but we got another 4-6 inches again just the other day. We are definitely being blessed to have a good water year this year for our crops!

 

Hauling Augers

One of the things I love doing during the winter months is hauling augers and parts with Ryan. In January we got to haul a brand new auger over to Oakley, Idaho. We then picked up the sketchiest auger you’ve ever seen to bring home. We had to change both tires on it plus reattach the hopper with a come-along. The whole thing was super sketchy. Parts of it even being held together with duct tape. By some miracle we made it home without any problems. We even had to stop in Burley and drop off other parts on our way home. It was a fun day to be together!

Oakley got to meet my sister Arnica and her daughter Ali in Salt Lake for dinner one evening in January. I got these surprise pictures from my sister. I love them so much!

Oakley Comes to Visit

In January Oakley & Logan came up for a long weekend to celebrate Logan’s birthday and their anniversary. We were so happy to have them. We got to spend some extra time with Jax one night when they went ice skating. Oakley also got to go watch Rhett’s cheer competition. 

AND….Oakley and Rhett have to learn the hard way…if you take pictures on my phone, I’m posting them! Lol

 

Baby VayDa

On Jan. 12, 2023 our niece Macady had her first sweet baby. They named her VayDa. She’s beautiful and we are so happy for them. 

Madison Cheer Comp

The Madison Cheer Comp was a fun one this year. We dominated! 1st’s in everything including co-Ed stunt group! It’s always fun to come out on top and see their hard work pay off! 

Preg Check 2023

 Preg checking cows in January is always so cold! I’m always grateful that these guys let me be a part of it though.

I Will Miss This

Every morning as I clean up the disaster that my bathroom is after Laiklie has left for school I remind myself that one day I am going to miss this. Laiklie is only two years from graduating and every time I think about it I tear up. So until then, as a grumble cleaning up the bathroom, I’ll remind myself that one day I will miss this.

Final Day in California

Friday was our last day in California. We tried to squeeze as much in it as we could in the few hours we had before our flight. We drove to Escondido to the Safari Park which we had planned to go to on Thursday. The kids were exhausted and slept the whole way there. We saw as many animals as we could in the few hours we had. We got to ride the African tram, which was so fun. 

Ryan, the kids and I headed back to the airport early afternoon. Our flight was delayed several times and we didn’t get into Utah until after 9. Oakley met us at the airport real quick so we could give Jax a little love before we headed home. It was storming and the storm got bad enough we ended up having to get a hotel at midnight in Tremonton. We got up early and drove home Saturday just in time to let the kids celebrate New Year’s Eve with friends and get Dallin packed to move to college.  Our trip was a great way to end our year!
