Happy Birthday to Me!

On my birthday Ryan built me a grain bin. Lol! Stan kept joking that it was mine since they were building it for us on my birthday. I told him once it's full I'll gladly take it. :)
Since Ryan was busy, I drug Laiklie on a 1.5 hour drive to do a 30 minute hike with me that I've been wanting to do. We drove to Afton, WY to hike Intermitten Springs. It was beautiful and such a fun little hike. Laiklie kept throwing her water bottle at the chipmunks trying to hit one. Funny girl. We had a great time together and finished the afternoon off with square ice cream cones in Swan Valley. It was a great 41st birthday!

Oakley turns 20!

This gorgeous girl turned 20 on August 1, 2020. She was suppose to be in Sicily for her 20th birthday on another dance tour, but Coronavirus changed those plans. So instead, she spent it in Yellowstone with Logan. She had a great day and truthfully I don't think she would have changed anything about it.

Another Ethan Post

This kid works his guts out and then crashes HARD! I still laugh when I see this picture of his mid-section wrapped up in the blanket. Hahaha! So funny! Normally I would be TICKED at him for wearing his dirty boots on my rug and especially his entire filthy dirty body on it, but this day I just let the poor kid sleep.

He Got the Cast Off!

On July 30th Rhett got his cast off! Best day ever!! He was SO EXCITED to be back in a walking boot. Right after we left the doctors office we ran to grab a few groceries. It was SO FUNNY watching him try to walk after 6 weeks of being on crutches. He would hop funny sometimes and was just so clumsy. We giggled and giggled through the whole store. It was a great day for sure!

Danica

Danica was able to stay a few days with Laiklie after Arnica left. It was just what Laiklie needed. They insisted on longboarding in the rain at the church one afternoon. They got back in my car FILTHY DIRTY! They had a blast while doing it though.

Zoom Sisters

Arnica came for a visit this summer so we ran out to spend the day with mom. While we were there we wanted to help her get her zoom set up; in doing so we had to have someone to zoom with. Who better then our other sister? Jenny was happy to help us! So fun to have all 3 of us together in the same room even if it is through zoom!

Uh Oh!

Dallin called me one morning just on fire! Yelling and screaming about something! It took him a minute to calm down enough for me to understand what was going on. He had sunk his truck in a hole at the end of one of the fields when he went to check hay. I went to get the flat bed to run over and pull him out just to find that the flat bed was hooked to the horse trailer. I ran over and grabbed him, he came home and unhooked the horse trailer, then we headed back to pull his truck out. I couldn't believe how bad it sunk. It is a good thing he just got a lift on it or we would have been in a much bigger mess. The next problem was that he was going to pull it out, but I had to be the driver of his truck. I had to make sure as he pulled I turned just right so we didn't sink his back tire too since our only option was to pull it forward. Yikes! I hate this kind of crap! We make a good team though and within minutes we had it out and good to go again. I'm so grateful that Dallin knows what to do in a situation like this. He's a great kid and I would choose him to be on my team EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!

Bestie Cousins

Laiklie and Sage have needed each other their whole lives. I'm just so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who recognized that and allowed these two to become cousins. It is a special thing to have someone that just gets you, knows all your secrets and loves you unconditionally.

Braces Day

On July 21st Laiklie got her braces on! She has been looking forward to this for a long time! She wants them on at the same time as her friends so she gets them off at the same time. I totally get it! That kind of thing is important in jr high. ;) She had such straight teeth to begin with so hopefully this is a pretty quick and painless process!

Night Photos

Rhett loves taking night pictures. For this photoshoot they even had our cute neighbor Emily Barrie's mom drive her over at midnight without me knowing to take some dance jump shots. These are so fun and I love the way they turned out! The 1st is Laiklie, then Emily, Rhett and then the last one is one he learned how to do to make it look like the stars are raining. So cool!

Montana Roadtrip

On Sunday July 19th, after our home church we decided to load the kids up and take a drive to Montana. We actually had to load into 2 different vehicles since I sold my suburban, but it worked out fine. We loaded up some snacks and headed out. We took the kids to Quake Lake. Ryan's got a great uncle that was camping in the canyon with his family the night that the earthquake hit that caused the canyon to fill with water. His family was killed that night. We went to the visitors center and was able to see their names on the wall of those killed in the canyon. We also took the kids up over the dusty dirty hills to Cliff and Wade Lakes. The water at both was absolutely gorgeous! It had a turquoise glow to it. So pretty! It made for a fun day together exploring some gorgeous country not too far from home.

Jemma

There was a week in July when my friend Raquelle was headed out of town and needed someone to help her husband Jordan with their little girl Jemma. We LOVE Jemma. This little girl radiates pure joy! She is so much fun to have in our home. She's a wild child...she even wears a tracking device because she is a quick, sneaky little thing. Lol! We had her overnight one of the nights and she was missing her mama a little so I got to snuggle with her. What a sweetie. We even flooded the lawn one of the days she was here and then of course had to do a photo shoot with her. :) We had a great week taking care of her!

Rhett Building Bins

Rhett started building bins in April with the rest of the crew. Then broke his ankle in June. By mid-July he was going stir crazy at home! Our neighbor had a peg leg that you strap to your leg when on crutches to allow you to walk on your own, but keeping your injured leg up and out of the way. We decided to try it out one day and see if Rhett was able to be any help on this funny little peg leg. He didn't last long....it was exhausting to him and really hard to use a peg leg in unstable gravel, but it was nice to get out and feel productive for even just a few hours one day!

If you look hard in the 2nd picture you can see Rhett's peg sticking out when they sat down for lunch. I also had to take a quick picture of these two crazy brothers working together this summer. We are grateful for Ryan's family and the opportunity he has to work with his brothers.

Exhausted Ethan

Not going to lie, it was exhausting having another teenager in the house this summer! Ethan was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. It looks like we were pretty exhausting to him too! ;) We worked him long hard hours. This picture of him dead asleep in his filthy dirty clothes, sunburned skin, sunglasses on and earplugs in cracks me up!

Dallin Got a Lift

Dallin was super insistent that he got a lift on his truck this summer. Teenage boys crack me up! Not only did he lift it he also got lights up under his seats that made it look like a disco up in there. Hahaha! Sure love this kid!
