Just wanted to share a few things that happened this weekend. They aren't anything significant....just little things I want to remember! :)

This is my two little men practicing to be farmers with their round bales (like their daddy uses...AKA toilet paper, ha ha!! They make me smile!) loader and semi.

You not only have to practice loading and unloading the bales, you also have to practice stacking them. :)
This weekend Oakley got invited to a friends
bday party. They were playing a balloon game and Oakley bent down to pick one up just as one of her friends kicked it and WHAM!! What do you know? She ended up with a jammed finger!!

I wish the picture showed how bad it really looks. This was taken two days afterwards (
that's about how long it takes for my brain to start working!) and so the swelling is almost completely gone. It is the middle finger and you can see the purple around the middle knuckle. We had to tape it for the entire weekend and she struggled with little things like: finishing her homework, shampooing her hair, buttoning her pants and everyday things like eating and going to the bathroom. The poor little thing. She was nervous as she left today as to how well it would work playing the clarinet in band this afternoon. I hope it bent like it was suppose to.
The last thing of the weekend I want to remember is this......Last night
Laiklie had tears as she headed to bed. She has them EVERY Sunday night because over the weekend we let her snuggle into bed with her big sister and then during the weekdays she has to sleep in her own bed so Oakley actually gets some sleep. Last night I finally had her settled down and tucked in and thought we were going to be good for the night. I made my normal nightly rounds and tucked in Rhett,
Dallin and Oakley. As I was headed to my room I passed
Laiklie's and there was my sweet little girl standing in the dark just behind her open door. When she saw me she asked with her sweet little precious 5 year old voice, "Mommy..........can you lay by me for a minute?" HOW CAN YOU RESIST THAT?? Especially from my baby! She isn't going to be asking for very many more years. I know this because I can't even get her big sister Oakley to let me sing her a song anymore when I tuck her in!! So, of course, I laid down by my little Laiklie and we talked about primary and preschool and her brothers and sister and her
lala loopsy and her story books and anything else she could think of.
It was heaven!
