Senior Night

Laiklie's senior night was October 17th. It has been so fun watching her play this season. Especially right alongside 5 other seniors. Such a great year! 

Fall Photoshoot

Rhett did a fall senior photo shoot with Laiklie. Here are a few of my favorites! Such a gorgeous girl and an incredibly talented photographer. 

Painting the Pumpkin

Another fun year of our annual paint the pumpkin at grandma Linn's. Linn has been doing this since her kids were little. It's such a fun tradition. We always paint the pumpkin, eat dinner in a pumpkin, and this year we even got to celebrate Autumn's 8th birthday. It was fun having Oakley and Logan live close to home so they could be there too. Dallin and Rhett had gone on a drive to set bear bait and got home too late. :(  I was so sad they missed it. Hopefully next year all four of my kids will be there again.

 

Team Dinner

One of the things I love about Bonneville volleyball, even back to when Oakley played, is that the have the parents take turns feeding the team after school before their games. On the night I got to feed them we decided to do a team bonding activity before they ate. We had them draw names and paint a portrait of each other. There was an odd number, so we got Rhett involved. He painted one of the girls, and they used a picture of the coach and painted her. We laughed and laughed at some of the pictures they painted. Such a fun activity!

Root Canal

At the end of September, I had to have a root canal on one of my teeth. I made Rhett go with me because I was nervous about it. We laughed and laughed all the way home because of how numb my whole face was. It was so bad! The root canal ended up being a nightmare. I had to go back in a week later, because of how much pain I was still in. It was seriously excruciating. They did some more work and sent me home with an antibiotic and a steroid. They thought I had not only a whole bunch of inflammation, but some infection as well. After a week on that, it started to heal up. It reminded me of how blessed we are when everything functions properly. Something I definitely take for granted. 

 

Laiklie's 18!

So crazy to think that Ryan and I are now the parents of all adult children. Happy birthday, Laiklie! We were so excited for her birthday this year. I don't know very many 18 year old girls that ask for a grinder for their birthday, but she did. So funny! :) She also asked for a concert ticket to a Colter Wall concert. Her boyfriend Hunter's birthday is just two days before hers. She bought him a concert ticket and wanted to surprise him. She also had some special hoodies made for their birthdays in remembrance of their friend Isaac, who passed away early this year. After she opened presents, Ryan, Laiklie, Hunter, and I jumped in the car and headed to Montana. We dropped them off at the concert, went and had dinner, and then went back for them a few hours later. On our way home the next morning we took the time to run over to Bannack ghost town. Since Rhett and I had just been there a couple weeks earlier, I wanted Ryan and Laiklie to be able to experience it as well. It was such a fun day and a great weekend celebrating her birthday!

Sandbox

I decided since Jax is at our house a couple days a week now we needed to get this little boy some dirt to dig in. I wanted some thing small and compact and that had a lid. Ryan took me to Home Depot and we found the perfect container. Even his great big uncle Rhett climbed in with him. Hahaha!
