First Day of School

It's our first, last day of high school!! I can't believe our baby is a senior! I have had more mixed emotions about it this go around than I did with my other three as they were seniors. It's hard to finish off this stage of life. We are going to miss these days!!
Laiklie is a senior at the Technical Careers High School this year. She is finishing out her welding certification. She's also playing volleyball for Bonneville again. We are going to have a great year!
Oakley also started school again this year. This time as a third grade teacher here in Idaho Falls at Rimrock Elementary. We are so excited for her to try her hand at in person teaching after having taught online for two years. We are even more excited that her little family MOVED HOME!! I get to keep Jax 2 days a week for her and those days are my favorite ones each week. :)

Elder Sam Jacobson

On August 21st, Elder Jacobson returned from his mission to Riverside, California. I was so glad I got to be at the airport with his family when he arrived. I couldn't get over his smile. He was so happy to be back with his family! After hugging all of his family and his grandpa Jacobson, he looked over and happened to see me. He put his arms out and said, "get in here!" followed by a giant hug. Too cute! What a great kid. It'll be fun to have him home again.

Fall Creek Falls

One Sunday afternoon, I convinced Ryan and our two youngest to take a Sunday drive up to see the Falls. They are absolutely gorgeous! There were a ton of people there, so we only stayed for a few minutes. After I took the first picture of Rhett and Laiklie I told them that they were covering the falls, so I asked them to squat down so I could see the falls. The second picture of them is the result of my request. Lol!! Such knuckleheads!

Grain Harvest '24

These are seriously the only pictures I got this year of grain harvest. With Ryan's grain bin building going so late into the season he didn't get to help much with the harvest. So it was mostly just Dallin and Dale. I tried to sneak a few pictures every chance I got.

Volleyball Float Trip

Laiklie got to go with the varsity volleyball team on the absolute coldest day of the summer with a high of 65° on their annual float trip. Brrrrr! They had a good time, but they seriously froze! One of the guides fell off the boat and actually dislocated his shoulder. Kind of scared the girls. Other than that, they had a great day together bonding as a team and coaches.

Our Little Tractor Man

EVERYTIME Jax is here we have to walk out to the barnyard to see his "papa's trators." He is a tractor man! He thinks they are all "blue"....the only color he knows. Hahaha. And if we try to take him back to the house without sitting in atleast one or two of them, we are in trouble! He LOVES the days he gets to sit on mamaw's lap and ride along with Uncle Dallin, and he's even willing to give Uncle Dale a hug and let him hold him if it means walking over to check out a tractor. :) Funny baby!

My Favorite Days

My favorite days are the ones where all of my kids are here…Or at least the majority of them. I loved Sunday afternoon when I walked into Laiklie's room and saw all three of these great big siblings snuggled in bed together. I'm so grateful that they are friends.
Laiklie had to teach that same day in young women's. One of my sweet friends sent me a couple pictures of her teaching, along with a sweet text telling me what a great job she did. We've been blessed with incredible kids!

The Littles

We always love when we get the chance to keep Chase and Yvonne's girls for a couple days. Yvonne was out of town so they got to come for one night. One of the days Laiklie and I took them to Fatcats bowling, mini golf, and to play the arcade. They also did a ton of playing in the basement, a trip to the park and a couple four wheeler rides. It's always a good time having them here.

Fishing!

One night after work, me, Rhett, Laiklie, and her boyfriend Hunter decided to run up and fish at the ranch. It was a gorgeous evening. We had so much fun. Laiklie caught fish after fish after fish. Rhett had a few bites and Hunter was so busy trying to keep up with the fish Laiklie was catching and rebaiting her hook that he barely had time to fish. He caught a few though too once I made her be finished. Hahaha! We LOVE having fish in the lake again!
My favorite part of the night was when Laiklie really wanted a picture with her fish, but was too scared to hold it. She made Hunter hold it, and she held his arm so that it looked like she was holding it. Lol! Funny girl! She finally got brave enough to hold one though. :)
