Merry Christmas

Laiklie in her Christmas wardrobe. This is actually Christmas Eve at Grandma's. She wouldn't put on the new pj's grandma made her...but this is also what she looked liked almost all Christmas day too. She is very picky about what she wears - or doesn't wear.: )

Oakley and her new cute bath robe.

Rhett and Dallin got boxing gloves. We knew they would love them because they pound on each other all the time anyway. This way it is just a little safer.

Christmas Morning - checking out the goodies in the stockings!

Christmas Eve at Grandma Jacobson's house. They are singing "rum pum pum pum" and pounding on their plate drums. They loved this game grandma made up.

Winter Wonderland

My computer died on me the other day and so after a few days and alot of hours trying to revive it we ended up buying a new one...so I am behind on my updates and doing one big post.

These are the kids new Christmas Church Clothes. They looked so cute on Sunday wearing them to church.

This is Dallin and Oakley sitting on Santa's lap at the ward party. Rhett about pulled my pants down trying to fight me about sitting on his lap, and Laiklie about pulled my arm off when I tried to sit her on his lap...so, there are no pictures of those two.

We took the kids sledding behind the 4-wheeler. I posted one picture with me in it so you can see that I was finally enjoying the ride instead of being the ride. : ) The snow was coming down so hard you could hardly stand it hitting your face so we all ended up turning around and riding backwards in the sled which caused alot of sled fall-outs. It was so much fun. We actually have a lot more snow now and as soon as it stops blowing plan to try it out again.

Our First Snow

This is the first time this year we have gotten enough snow to actually build a snowman. Oakley had school but Dallin didn't and so as soon as Oakley was on the bus the boys were out the door ready to play. My poor little boys didn't know how to build a snowman so mom had to go show them. We then of course had to have a ride in the sled. So, I loaded all 3 kids (just over 100 lbs.) into the gigantic sled which we usually pull behind the 4-wheeler and took off running with my heavy boots across the yard all the while the kids were yelling FASTER MOM FASTER. I was sure I was going to die.:) We had a lot of fun for the few minutes I could handle the cold.

Tis the Season to Decorate

This is 100% Laiklie...she is the kind to stand around picking her nose while everyone works behind her. She is one-of-a-kind. Ry took these pictures so the first time I saw it was when I put it on the computer and I laughed so hard because that is TOTALLY her!!
The kids had so much fun decorating. We have had the tree up for 3 days now and have only broke 4 bulbs, 2 cowboys, 1 sleigh and a colorful heart. Hopefully the tree has some decorations still on it come Christmas day!:)

What I am Grateful For...

At this Thanksgiving time of year I love to think about the things I am most grateful for. The one thing that I am most grateful for and will always be grateful for is FAMILY. I am eternally grateful to my two loving parents who have given me 3 amazing brothers and 2 beautiful sisters. I couldn't ask for a better gift than the family that is already mine. I am eternally grateful to a loving Heavenly Father that has entrusted me with the care of 4 of his sweet little spirits. They are truly my most prized possessions. I am grateful to have wonderful friends and neighbors who mean the world to me and help me just get through life. So, to all of you...YOU are what I am grateful for.

My oldest sister Jenny's family.

My big brother Travis' family.

My little brother Cody's family.

My sister Arnica's family didn't show up in time for the family photo's and my brother Shane's family was running like crazy all weekend and I never once saw them all in the same room at the same time.:) I will have to post pictures of their families later.

Check out the Friend

I have been the primary president in my ward for 2 1/2 years now and today I got my December issue of the Friend Magazine. In the "Friends in the News" section is a picture of my little primary - Milo Ward - with the picture books we made over a year ago. I sent the picture in right after we made the books, so I had given up on it being published, but was happy today to see my sweet primary had made the cut. So, everyone pull out your Friends and check it out.

Mommy's Helpers

Because the weather is finally nice we have been trying to get some yard work done. Laiklie and Rhett were the leaf holder-downers. They loved riding on the leaves from the pile to the dumpster.

She is such a busy body so whenever we can get her to sit still we take pictures of it. : ) She loved the wagon rides.

You Talked Me Into It!!

So, all my friends kept telling me I needed to get a blog going, so here you go!! I guess you have all talked me into it. I don't know that it will be great, but we will try it and see!
