Downata/Lava Cousins Trip

Last week we went with all the Hawkins cousins and grandma to Downata on Monday....stayed the night in the KOA Cabins at Lava and then went swimming at Lava on Tuesday.  WHAT A BLAST! It was so much fun!! Two full days of swimming and enjoying the sunshine and cousins! Nothing better than that!
 Oakley and Macady
 Laiklie
I loved the pictures I got of the kids shooting out of this speed slide. :)
 Dallin
 Rhett's Feet
 oh.....and there is Rhett! :)
All the Hawkin's grandkids except JD who was at Football and baby Memory who was in eating.  After Downata we were off to Lava.
The little KOA Cabins were so much fun! We separated into 3 different cabins to fit us all in.  This is the cabin I slept in with the big kids....Oakley, Macady, Dallin, JD and Rhett.  I ended up on a bottom bunk. That's ok.....as long as everybody else is happy, I am happy!

The KOA had a playground for the littles.....
and some volleyball for the bigs.  It was a great place to stay!
Then off to the pools!
 A little rock climbing.

 A little diving.
 Some major sliding.
And of course the platforms!

What a fun trip! I love time spent together making memories!

Oakley Turns 14

On August 1st Oakley turned 14! I can hardly believe it! I sure don't know how to get time to slow down!! She is so much fun! We have discovered this cute little personality that she has this summer.  We have no idea where it came from.....but it has been fun to watch! She has turned into quite the comedian.  The funniest part is she thinks she is hilarious! :)

She has a million funny faces and we are lucky to get a good picture anymore! Her favorite face to pull is her double chin face....I left those pics out ON PURPOSE! She calls it her "happy burfday" face and does it EVERYDAY...not just on her birthday! Funny girl!
She asked to go to the Famous Preston Night Rodeo with her very favorite person in the world, her cousin Ali.
These two are quite the pair.  They thought they were SO FUNNY that they swiped the cherry on the top of the cake and replaced it with a pickle when nobody was looking! What a bunch of crack-ups!

All Oakley wanted for her birthday was to spend some time with Ali.  These two are as tight as two people can be.  They are truly best friends! What a blessing to have someone who just "gets" you and loves you unconditionally!

And the rodeo was great too!

We sure love Oakley.  We know Heavenly Father sent her to our house to show us just how strong a person can be.  Oakley is our Hero.  We've said it before and we will say it over and over again! We are amazed by her and the person that she is and is becoming.  We love you sis! Happy Birthday!

Girls (Day) Camp 2014

This year because our youth went on the Book of Mormon Journey the yw leaders/camp leaders decided to do just a day camp.  Because they were only there for one day the bishopric and their wives (me & Ry) were invited.  YAY!! Girls camp is my FAVORITE!!
The theme was an Olympic theme Keep the Fire Burning and they played Olympic games!
Oakley was on the red team along with Taya, Kami, Liz, and leaders Jessica and Jody.  They ended up with a pretty good team! The pool tube games were a blast!

I LOVE these YW and I am so grateful Oakley gets to be surrounded by such amazing girls!
We also had a special presentation by the Bishopric!
Yes....Ryan's shirt says Evil! Bahahahaha!! :) So Random! They had to lip sync to a Keep the Fire Burning song.

This bishopric is definitely ONE OF A KIND!
That night they took the girls up to the Playmill in West Yellowstone to watch Joseph's Technicolor Dream Coat.  Girls Camp fell the day before Oakley's birthday so when the cast of the show asked for birthdays Oakley's friends made sure they knew it was hers! We had just been to the Playmill the week before with our Hawkin's cousins and ALL the little girls thought this boy that came and got Oakley was THE CUTEST boy there! Oakley's friends thought the same thing! :)

He got to introduce Oakley and announce that she was turning 14 the next day!
He did a great job! He then hugged her!
 and......hugged her....and
then he SERIOUSLY leaned in for a kiss on her cheek! Ryan and I about died.  Oakley about died too! She had no idea what he was doing and you can tell from the picture she was able to avoid the kiss! :) Crazy college kid!!
 Oakley and her besties!
Oakley and her besties with the "super cute boy!" Teenage girls are so fun! It was a great day and I was so glad I got to be a part of it all!

West Yellowstone's Playmill Theater

In July Grandma Hawkins took all of us to West Yellowstone's Playmill Theater to watch Beauty and the Beast.  SOOO FUN! The Playmill is seriously one of my favorite places to go! We barely made it (because of road construction) in time to hurry and scarf down some chicken strips and head into the theater.

The kids loved the show!  The props were great, the costumes were amazing and the acting was fabulous! We loved it all!!

If you look close we even got photo bombed by one of the actors, HILARIOUS!! What a fun night!
