Oakley

Oakley's friend is studying to become a photographer. She really is incredible already! She happened to take her camera to the Boise competition and shared with us some of the pictures she captured of Oakley. LOVE THEM!

Boise Dance Competition 2018

We love going to the Boise Dance Competition each winter.  It is a smaller competition, so it goes quickly and the girls always perform well.  This year Oakley and Brooklyn dominated. Seriously! They came home with several trophies and several awards. So proud of them. It is competitions like this that make all the tears and hours and hours of practice in the studio worth it.  These girls can dance!

And....we can't forget about the little sister. Laiklie and her skinny little legs are so fun to watch. She is following right in Oakley's footsteps and is becoming a great dancer as well. She got a superstar award for the night! Yay!

The Boys Trip to AZ

For Christmas Dallin, Rhett and JD got plane tickets to Arizona. They got to go spend a week with Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins and Grandma and Grandpa Romrell.  They had a great time. They went to dinner to a pizza place with a crazy organ player, and aquarium, a butterfly sanctuary, the flea market and one morning bright and early they got to go to the Mesa and Scottsdale (I believe) temples to do baptisms with great Grandpa and Grandma. So special! Such a fun week making memories with grandparents.

Sweethearts 2018

Oakley asked her good friend Garrett to Sweethearts this year.  They had so much fun. Oakley has an AMAZING group of friends and they love to get together.  The girls surprised the guys with limos that picked them up after dinner.  I got to help with the dinner and it was so fun to be there to see them interact and to see the surprise.  What a blessing good friends are in our lives!

These four have been best friends since 1st grade.  This was by far my favorite picture of the night. I sure love each of them.

Cousins

No words are even needed to go with these two pictures. Rhett and Tyce are seriously two peas in a pod.  Life is better when they are together!

Rhett’s New Found Love

Rhett has discovered how much he loves to be behind a camera.  He got a camera for Christmas and spent many hours outside looking for all things gorgeous.  We have learned he has quite the eye for beauty. He has also spent many, many hours learning all the different settings/lighting techniques his camera(s) are capable of. He is very talented. I love so many of the pictures he takes and love even more that he has found something that is just his.

Skiing 2018

We had such a mild winter we really didn't get much snow, which means we didn't get to do much skiing either.  The kids were bummed. We were grateful for the few times we were able to go though.
