Harvest

Grain harvest always brings long days and late nights. This is just one of the many night time pictures I took of these guys out working til the job was done. I love that Dallin learned this lesson at a very young age. He's turned into an incredible young man knowing how to work hard. I'm so proud of him.

Logan & Oakley

Logan started writing songs on his mission and wrote several after he got home. We joke and tease Oakley how they are all about her. Hahaha! He spent lots of hours in the recording studio over a couple days this summer to produce his first song - Confused, by Logan Andrus. Rhett went out with them one evening to get a few pictures of Logan he could use as a cover. Of course they had to do a few pictures together too. They have pretty much been a package deal this summer. When you've got one you've usually got the other. :)

Sunflower Fields

Rhett got asked to take several peoples pictures this year in the sunflower fields. Of course, the ones with my kid in them are my favorite. :)

Scoping out photo spots...

Sometimes I get to tag along with Rhett as he tries to find areas for photoshoots. We got to run down by the river this day. He was scaring me to death with that slick walking boot on the rocks, but it was a gorgeous spot for some pictures.

Grain Harvest 2020

Sometimes I feel bad for people who don't live this life. Days in the combine with Ryan are some of my favorite. I could totally do without the grain dust and the fear of fires, but I love being by his side as we harvest the crops.

Ryan, Dale, Stan, Dallin, JD, Ethan, Chase and Rhett put in some long hours over harvest. It seems we are always short handed so Laiklie and I even ran out to drive a few times between feeding the help. It's always nice to have harvest finished.

Jacobson Family Re-Zoom_ion

My sister Jenny scheduled a family Re-zoom-uion this summer. It wasn't quite the same as actually getting together, but it was a pretty close 2nd place. It was fun to spend a couple hours together over 2 days. We did a craft and show-&-tell on Saturday and then on Sunday we got to listen to my parents talk to us. They talked about making sure we listen....listen to the prophet and leaders....listen to the spirit...and listen to Hear Him. It was so good to be with family, even if it was over a screen.

Running Bin Parts

I had to run parts to the bin crews SEVERAL times this summer. More times than I wanted. ;) I usually tried to talk Laiklie into going with me so I didn't have to go alone. We showed up in Victor just in time for them to make her help jack the bin. Lol. She's a great little tag-along.
