72 Hour Kits

I decided one day this fall that is was DEFINITELY time to go through and update the 72 hour kit in the basement. I couldn't remember the last time I'd gone through it...but knew it had been awhile. We LAUGHED AND LAUGHED when we pulled these out of the bags. The grey jumpsuit, little girls size 6 is what 5'10" Laiklie would have had to wear in an emergency, and the blue one, little boys size 8/10 is what 6'4" Rhett would have had to wear. HAHAHA! So funny! Rhett says to me, "hey mom, should I try on these spiderman underwear to see if they will still work?" Bahahaha. NO, absolutely not! So stinking funny! 

 

Dumb Diesel

 My neighbor sent me this picture in a random text one morning. You have to look pretty hard to see why she sent it to me. Diesel is sitting up on the yellow box. He thinks that's his spot in life. He sits up there and watches me through the window all day long. Hahaha. Poor dumb doggie. 

Dallin Turns 18

I can't believe that my baby boy turned 18 this year! SO CRAZY! Dallin was annoyed that he missed voting in the presidential election for Trump by just a few days. He is a pretty big Trump 2020 supporter. Lol! 

This is his normal grumpy face. We have to work PRETTY HARD to get a smile out of him. We lucked out though and I was able to finally get one. I sure love this kid! My momma heart hurts that we only have a few more months with him at home and then he's headed out into the real world. He will be an incredible asset where ever his next adventure takes him. 

 

Haulin' Cows Home

On November 5th we headed to Bone to bring home the cows. Dallin and JD missed school to go help us. We have been shorthanded this year and knew they were needed. We were glad to have them, especially as we ran the cows down into the alley way toward the corrals. As they got near the corrals they bunched up and put so much pressure on the alley way fence that one whole side came crashing down. Dallin, JD and Chase were on that side so they got there as quick as they could to save us from losing the whole herd. We lucked out and only lost about 10 head. We were able to get them all gathered and back in and mend the fence temporarily. Other then that scare it was a pretty uneventful day, thankgoodness! 

 

Stupid Masks!

 I got a text from Dallin with this picture. He apparently forgot his mask for school and this is what the secretary gave him to wear for the day! HAHAHAHA! A pink, kitty cat mask! Hilarious! Maybe he'll learn not to forget his mask! :)

Rhett Cheer

2020 has been so blah with so many things....cheer included. They "kind of'" got to cheer for the football games, but got shut down for basketball. This is the only football cheer picture I got of Rhett. This is him with all the sophomore age cheerleaders. Such a fun and incredibly talented group of kids! I'm so glad Rhett gets to be a part of something so much bigger than himself. 

Fall Yard Work

 Laiklie was helping me with the leaves and we thought it was so funny the way they blew up around her as she drove the lawn mower to gather them. It wasn't the fastest way to gather leaves, but it totally worked with very little effort. That's our type of yard work! :)
