Nationals at Lagoon 2022

Two FULL days of dancing, teaching, swimming, and playing!! This was a great year at Nationals! Laiklie‘s team did fabulous. Her and Ellie‘s duets looked awesome. Oakley ran into all of her old clogging buddies. It was so fun catching up with them. Oakley stayed the weekend with us so the girls went swimming and made tik-toks and had so much fun together! Laiklie finished the weekend off by riding the sky ride. She is so much braver than I am! We didn’t come home with any big awards this year, but that didn’t even matter. It was one of our favorite years just because of how much fun and low stress we had.

 

Baby Shower

On May 7th we had Oakley’s baby shower! I didn’t getting very many pictures, but we had a great turn out with her grandma, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and friends. She received so many wonderful gifts for baby boy Andrus!

Laiklie Vball Friends

Laiklie got asked to play up on an older volleyball team for one tournament in Boise. I wasn’t able to go, but one of the other mom sent me this cute picture of her and her friends  Kaycie and Alyssa that were able to go with her. She’s so blessed with such good friends! 

 

Mother’s Day

This year for Mother’s Day I wanted to do something special for my dad, so I found a lady to draw a picture of my mom with the Savior. It didn’t turn out quite like I was hoping, but it was absolutely gorgeous, and I was happy with the final product. We sure love and miss her EVERYDAY! 

 

Legs for Days

Club Volleyball is EXHAUSTING!! This is what it always looks like on our drive home after a 2 day tournament. I can’t ever figure out how Laiklie sleeps comfortably enough to actually sleep with those long, long legs. Funny girl!

Straw Stack Fire

On April 18th we had what started as a beautiful spring day. Ryan decided to do some burning. He had a pile of logs he was burning near one of our rentals. He used the loader to push the logs up on top of each other after the fire had burned for a few hours. He parked the loader back over by the straw stack. As he got on the road to drive away from the house in his rearview mirror he could see the straw stack go up in flames. The heat from the loader started the stack on fire. Within minutes we had a gigantic fire. Right after the fire started the wind started. We had gusts like crazy. We ended up calling the fire department to come help. Within just minutes we had 8 to 10 fire trucks in the driveway. They were back-and-forth all afternoon/evening for hours. We turned a sprinkler on the stack before we went to bed. Days later, the stack would still start on fire. We were constantly having to have a sprinkler run on it for almost 2 weeks to keep the fire at bay. So scary! We were definitely blessed that day that Ryan saw the fire as it started.
