Laiklie Team Camp

Laiklie got to spend a few days in July with her volleyball team at team camp at Utah State. She played so well, and it was fun watching the girls get back into the routine of things after being out for part of the summer. I got to spend a couple days there watching and I got to drive a few girls home. They were absolutely exhausted after playing ball for four days!

A Visit from Jax

Oakley and Jax got to come stay with us for a few days in July. We always love when they come! Jax got to play with his new giraffe I found at the thrift store, spend some time in his pool and help us scout out photo locations.

4th of July

This Fourth of July was a little different than our usual Fourth of July. Rhett was running the firework stand in Dubois with his cousin. Dallin spent the day farming and Oakley‘s little family stayed in Utah. Ryan, Laiklie and I ran up and fished for just a little while on the creek before we had our annual Hawkins BBQ at the cabin. I caught one and Ryan caught one. Laiklie wasn’t successful this time. So sad! That night, the kids watched the fireworks in town with their friends, so Ryan and I drove out to Osgood and watched the Idaho Falls fireworks from up on the hill. I sure love the Fourth of July. I love remembering the freedoms that we’ve been blessed with, and I love spending the day with family.

Dad’s Best Helpers

Jenny, Arnica and I spent a few days this summer trying to help dad get the house cleaned out and dejunked before he got married. It’s always fun working together. Arnica and I happened to be his best helpers the day we needed to move his bedroom set to Rexburg for a cousin whose house burned down. We had to stop along the interstate to re-tie things down. Luckily, we managed to make it work and got there safely!

Laiklie & Her BFF’s

Laiklie has been so blessed to have Kaitlyn and Daphnie in her life. These are the friends I prayed so hard for. They have been such a blessing!

Changing the Water

My night to change water and I couldn’t get over how gorgeous the water droplets in the sunset were!

Rhett’s Fireworks Stand

Rhett and his cousin Tyce had the opportunity to run a firework stand for about 12 days in Dubois. They borrowed their uncle Shane‘s camper to spend the nights in and made several trips back-and-forth to the rest area and their grandpa’s house for bathroom breaks, and showers. I think they had a good time…but also, really long slow days. I’m glad they had the chance to spend a couple weeks together though.
