Flying

Logan is to a point in his schooling that he can now fly Oakley. So exciting…and also terrifying at the same time! At the beginning of October he flew Oakley and Jax up late one night to spend a few days with us. Such a great (quick!) way to travel! We can’t wait for him to be finished with his school. We are so proud of him and all his hard work!

Painting the Pumpkin

Hawkins annual painting the pumpkin and dinner in a pumpkin was fun this year. We missed Oakley‘s family! It’s always fun to have this tradition with our cousins.

Laiklie Turns 17!

On September 28th Laiklie turned 17! Her birthday was pretty boring like most birthdays spent at school. :/ Her sweet big brother Dallin took her to dinner though since I had to be at a Relief Society Activity. She’s so loved! Our house has been very quiet with the boys off to college. We love our one-on-one time with Laiklie. She hates that she has to say every 3rd prayer. Lol! But she did say that she loves that all the prayers are about her now. Hahaha! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Sleepover with the Littles

In September Yvonne went to Boise to watch her older girls run. She left Ember and Autumn here with us for a couple of days. We had so much fun! Bubble baths, Kids Town, and a whole lot of playing dress up in the basement! We sure love having these cute cousins over.

Homecoming 2023

Homecoming was so fun this year! Laiklie was the lucky one that got to go to 2 Homecoming dances. She got to be a part of the homecoming parade with her volleyball team too. It was seriously the coldest, windiest day! She went to Bonneville‘s homecoming with a kid named Jayden Ward. She then got to go to Thunders homecoming with her boyfriend, Keith Brown. She looked gorgeous for both and had a great time!

Rhett’s 19th Birthday

Rhett turned 19 on September 21st. All he wanted for his birthday this year was money and the chance to go on a trip to Provo by himself. He ended up staying with Oakley and Logan for a couple nights while he visited his friend Madi. He had a great weekend, including a fall drive with Oakley and flying with Logan! Before he left, I made him go to IHOP with me for breakfast. We sure love him! What a blessing he is in our lives. Happy Birthday Rhett!

Shirt Drawer

With getting married, my dad has been doing a lot of rearranging at his house. He sent us kids a text one day wondering if any of us wanted an old dresser. I recognized it as the dresser that Arnica and I had shared when we were little. I asked my dad to open it up and find the shirts drawer and send me a picture. We laughed and laughed. Arnica was trying to help us stay organized by drawing a line down the middle of each drawer and writing what items went in the drawer with our initials. She wasn’t a very good speller when it came to the word shirts though. Lol!!
