Laiklie's Dance Comp

Laiklie had her Pocatello dance competition the beginning of March. She did an acappella duet and her long duet. There were several hours between the two of them. So Oakley took her down earlier in the day to do the acappella duet and then the three of us, along with her boyfriend Hunter went down that night for the long duet. It was so fun to watch her! I'm so glad she's still doing some dancing!

Visit from Oakley

In March Oakley and Jax came for a visit. We took him down to the shop to see grandpa's tractors. We took him and one of the little neighbor girls we were babysitting to Kids Town and we spent lots of hours playing with the toys in the basement. We LOVE having him and his mama here.

Laiklie Photoshoot

Laiklie is the luckiest girl on the planet to have a photographer brother. Photoshoots anytime! Lol!
Such a gorgeous girl!

Oakley's Clogging Comp

Oakley started clogging again this year with a new studio down in Utah. We are so excited that she is back to dancing! That girl lives to dance! Rhett and I had the opportunity to go watch her at her first competition. Mostly we were there to watch Jax so she could dance. It was so fun to see her on stage again!

Isaac Rudolph

Laiklie got terrible news on the morning of February 26, 2024. As she was getting ready for school, her friend Hunter called to let her know that their good friend Isaac had committed suicide in the night. Such heartbreaking news. Her and her friends spent several days together grieving over sweet Isaac. So devastating! She has spent a lot of sleepless nights, trying to process all of it. Suicide is  especially hard, because there are so many unanswered questions. Isaac is greatly missed. She was able to be with her friends one evening as they put on a truck show in honor of him. She gathered one evening with the family and then again the next day at the graveside service. Her and her friends were also able to go up to the cemetery a couple weeks later with a birthday cake to celebrate his birthday with him. They followed that up with a bonfire. Oh sweet Isaac, you will continue to be missed.

Helping Oakley Move

After Oakley's second mental health scare, we decided it was time to get them moved out of their basement apartment. They needed a fresh start and a place that she could see out into the world around her and a place that might possibly have younger families like themselves. They found an apartment in Payson. Ryan and I along with Logan's family were able to help them move. Their new apartment has given them a lot of hope. It's been so good for them!
Grandpa Ryan did a great job at entertaining Jax while we got things unboxed and put away. That little man sure wore him out. Hahaha!

State Cheer 2024

Rhett had the opportunity to coach Bonneville Cheer this year as an assistant. After what felt like a very rough season, the girls headed to state. Rhett was absolutely ecstatic when he called to let me know they had WON!! It's so good for him to learn that hard work pays off. We were so excited for him and his team! 3 State Championships is a pretty amazing thing! 2 as a cheerleader and 1 as a coach. We're so happy for him!
