Oakley's Mental Health Journey

Oakley got brave one day and shared her story about the absolute hardest year of her life on social media. We do so much good when we show others that might be dealing with this too that they aren't alone!! This year has been hard on all of us as we've watched her fight this mental battle. We've cried many tears and sent more prayers to heaven on her behalf than I can count. We are SO PROUD of her for battling on! I wanted to remember her story the way she shared it.

Spokane

In March Laiklie and I got to go to Spokane for a Pacific Northwestern Qualifier volleyball tournament. Her teammates Kaycie and Alyssa, along with Kaycie's mom Brandi rode with us. We had such a great trip!! We played teams from all over Washington and even some Idaho and California teams. We killed time at a fun park that had a gorgeous sky ride and a carousel. We just happened to be roaming the mall right during "Prom Palooza" Lol!! So the girls tried on a bunch of prom dresses just for fun. We had such a great weekend together! And...to finish it off, my niece Ali that lives in Spokane just happened to have her first baby while I was there. I was able to run to the hospital the morning I left to snuggle her sweet Ellis. What a perfect ending to our trip.

Cousin's Weekend

In March we did a cousins weekend. Nanette and April came up from Utah. Amyjo was going to come from Arizona, but her plans changed last minute. Mindy came out to my house too, and we got to spend the weekend together. We stayed up late, went out to dinner, we played cards and did an Easter basket exchange, got pedicures, and spent hours and hours catching up! It was so fun!
