Happy Birthday Oakley

We didn’t get to spend Oakley‘s birthday with her this year, but Logan sent us a picture of her with her cake. It’s hard to believe that this tiny little baby is now 23 years old! We sure love her and find so much joy in watching her be an incredible adult, and a sweet little mama herself.

D & Nate

I ran some garbage out to the dumpster one night and happened to catch a quick picture of these two taking a break and visiting after a long day of work! I love that Dallin and Nathan have been best friends since they were itty-bitty boys. They live such similar lives that sometimes they need each other just to talk through the crazy.

Zoo

Oakley and Jax just happened to be in Idaho when my cousin Mindy was passing through on her way home to Washington and called and invited us to go with her little family to the zoo. It was so fun taking Jax to the zoo! He loved seeing the animals. It was also a great day to spend some time with my cousin Mindy. I get to see her only about once a year. So I enjoyed our quick visit.

Laiklie FSY

This year was our stakes turn to attend FSY. Laiklie got to go up to BYU-Idaho with her friend Kenlee from our ward. They were a little hesitant, but they had absolutely the best week! I kept hearing how much fun they were having, and how much they were learning and growing. I am so grateful she had the opportunity to go, and the chance to fill the spirit while there. Seriously, such a great thing for our youth to be a part of!

Mesa Falls

Ryan and I took Rhett and Laiklie on a Sunday afternoon drive up to Mesa Falls. The day was beautiful and the Falls were absolutely gorgeous! It was so fun to spend a couple hours with just the two of them. We stopped at the Ashton cemetery to see their Hawkins great grandparents on our way home and then stopped in to see their great grandpa Max in Wilford. It was such a great way to spend our Sabbath afternoon.

Spanish Fork Rodeo

Laiklie had a BYU volleyball camp the same weekend as Spanish Forks rodeo. Oakley bought tickets for all of us since she knew we would be down there. It was so fun to go to the rodeo together! Jax loved the horses and the motorcycles they brought in as an intermission. It was such a fun…HOT… Night together!

Building Bins

Ryan, Rhett and Laiklie built bins all summer. I swear it was the longest summer of their lives! The kids were definitely ready to be done by the end of the season. Laiklie got to be their main welder and tagged along with the guys. Rhett absolutely hated it, but he’s tall and strong and great help on the crew!
