My Crazy’s

Rhett and Laiklie are so much fun! But…Kind of an exhausting fun. Lol! They had me laughing the other night when they were working on their childhood airplane skills. 6’ 5 Rhett flying through the air on Laiklie’s legs is quite the site. Hahaha! 

 

New Furniture

I’ve been wanting new furniture for years! The couch/loveseat that we had was so big and bulky for our small living room space. Plus, it was cheap when we bought it and had started to recently fall apart. FINALLY, right before Thanksgiving I found a sectional I loved, and Ryan and I lucked out and found some compact recliners that look great with it. It was fun on Thanksgiving that we were able to have 10 people seated in our living room. With those big, bulky couches, the most we could ever get was seven if we were lucky. I’m loving the new look! 

 

Thanksgiving 2023

We hosted Thanksgiving again this year. Truthfully… I don’t know the last time I didn’t cook Thanksgiving for someone. Maybe next year I can take a break. ;) My brother, Shane‘s family and his kids came. My cousin Mindy, and her brothers, Daniel and Michael and her kids came. We had a full house. Dinner was delicious and it was fun to spend the day together catching up! 

Working Cows

Working cows has always been a family affair. All hands on deck! Mid November, Ryan, Dale and Dallin brought the cows home. Rhett, Laiklie and I went down and helped them run them through the chute to give them shots. It was a gorgeous day and fun to work together. 

Cousin Ciara’s Wedding

Our cute niece Ciara got married on November 18th to Rhett Lowder. Rhett had barely returned from his mission just two days before. Such a fun, crazy wedding! Oakley and I got to help with her hair and make up. We always love that! Dallin, JD and Ciara all grew up together and went to the same grade of school. We couldn’t help but giggle at how big the boys are compared to her. It’s so funny! We sure are happy for Ciara and Rhett.

Give Thanks

Tara texted me the other day wondering if I would feel up to helping her surprise her mom by painting over the pumpkin with a Thanksgiving picture. Ciara came to help us. It was absolutely freezing and our fingers kept going numb, but it turned out so cute! She was asleep when we did it and text us later, letting us know that she cried and cried when she saw it. Such a fun surprise!

Halloween 2023

Halloween was a little different this year. Oakley, Logan, and Jax dressed up for Logan‘s mom‘s Halloween party over the weekend. We put Jax back in his costume again on Halloween night to go to the ward trunk or treat. Otherwise nobody else even dressed up. It was fun to take Jax around gathering candy. By the time we finished hitting all the cars, he understood that the candy went in his pumpkin. :) So cute watching him figure it out!
