Rhett Turns 20!

Crazy that me and this little baby have had 20 years together now! Where has the time gone?!?! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Rhett! Life with Rhett has always been an adventure. Our family is so blessed to have him. I hope this year brings him joy as he continues to navigate adulthood.

Homecoming '24

Homecoming weekend was a lot of fun! Laiklie got to be on the volleyball float. We were the volleyball parents that had a trailer, so Ryan got to drive the float. Jax was with us that day and he loved watching the kids out the window as we would go past the elementary schools. He would wave and wave. He thought everybody was there to see him. ;) So funny! The volleyball girls had a great time on the float.
Laiklie and Hunter went to the homecoming dance together. She looked absolutely gorgeous! It is fun having Oakley live close by again. She was able to come over and help her with her make up that afternoon.  Such a fun time in life! Sad this is our last homecoming. We are going to miss this!

Yellowstone

I've been wanting to go to Yellowstone all summer long. So finally in September, I convinced Ryan to take us on a Sunday afternoon drive up through the park. Oakley and Logan wanted to go too, so they jumped in their car along with Dallin and followed us. It was seriously the perfect day to spend with our family!  We even lucked out and for our very first time saw a bear!! Days like this with my family are by far my favorite days!

Grandbaby #2

At the very end of August Oakley found out she was pregnant. We are so excited to welcome another little grandbaby into the world. Jax is going to be the best big brother! We are so happy for them!

Hiawatha

Just after Rhett finished his job for the summer. I knew he needed to get out of town for a minute. So on Monday, September 9, him and I got in the car just after noon and headed toward Montana. We decided we were going to go bike the Hiawatha Trail just before it closed for the season. On our way up we had a little extra time, so we stopped at Bannack ghost town in Montana. My parents took me there when I was a really little girl and then again as a young teenager. But I hadn't been back since. So much of it was just how I remembered. I loved being able to walk through it with Rhett. We stayed the night in the cutest little motel in Wallace, Idaho. It was old, but had some of the cutest updates. The next morning we got up and drove to the trail head. We had a great bike ride. It is seriously so GORGEOUS!! On our way home we stopped at a fun souvenir shop too. It was the perfect getaway for the two of us.
