Ladies Night Out

I got invited to my friend Heather's birthday party with several other ladies in our ward. We went to dinner, then a few of us that could stay, went axe throwing and out for dessert. It was so fun and seriously just what I needed! It took me a little while to figure out my axe throwing, but by the end of the night I was sticking a few.

Aquarium

We've got a cute young woman in our ward, Kennedi, who has a lot of hard things in her life. Every once a while she calls me just needing a break from life. One day after school, Rhett, Laiklie and I went and grabbed her. We hit McDonald's and then the aquarium. It was so fun to be together. We laughed and laughed. It's funny how the adult size kids love the aquarium too.

Aunt Laiklie

This little man sure likes his aunts and uncles. We set up this little cot and of course Aunt Laiklie climbed on too. He sang Twinkle Twinkle to her as he rubbed her little cheek. So sweet.

Family

My favorite place to be is TOGETHER!!

Matt & Maddie

On December 13, my niece Maddie and her husband Matt were able to be sealed in the temple. My dad performed the sealing. It was so neat to be there with them on such a special day. My sister Jenny came too and even stayed the night with me which just made it that much better. :)

Ice Fishing

The beginning of December was so cold, we actually hadn't received much snow though, so Ryan decided it was perfect conditions to go ice fishing. We were able to drive right into the ranch. The outside edges of the lake were thick enough we are able to drill holes and do a little fishing. It was so bitter cold. I sat in the truck and watched most of the time, but him and Rhett had a great time catching some fish.

Advent Calendars

I decided this year I wanted to do things a little different. So the only decorations I put up or my Christmas tree covered in pictures, and the names of the Savior, and my nativities. (Which Jax loved!)
I also decided since all of the kids are adults now and Christmas looks a little different for us to do advent calendars. So each kid opened an advent calendar on December 1. Logan's were brain teasers, Oakley's were lotions, soaps, perfumes, etc., Dallin's were different types of jerky, including some interesting ones like crocodile and ostrich, Rhett's was a puzzle, and Laiklie's was jewelry. It was so fun to have some thing to open each day as we got closer to Christmas. Little Jax even got a nativity advent calendar. He wasn't very good about opening them each day. By about day four he had the whole thing open. Hahaha!!
