Girls Day

My niece Camille and her husband Gilbert started working for Stan in January 2021. When they moved here from Montana they had her sister Miriam come to help with the baby while they moved. Camille called one morning just after they moved here to see if Miriam could come hang out with me for the day. Of course she could! So we ran my errands, got some lunch, wandered the mall and got pedicures! So fun! She ended up staying a few nights at my house and it was great for my kids and her to get to know each other better and bond after living in Michigan for the past 3 years.

Oakley + Logan, January 15, 2021

Oakley and Logan were married for time and all eternity on January 15, 2021 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. It was a beautiful day! We arrived at the temple at 12:45pm. They were only allowed 16 guests due to covid restrictions. We went through the 2 pm session for Oakley to take out her endowments and then right into the sealing afterwards. We had Ryan, Me, Stan and Linn from our family and Jason, Holly, Lindee, Ryan, Alyssa, and both sets of Logan's grandparents from Logan's family. My mom and dad were also there for the sealing. My dad, Oakley's grandpa, got to be the sealer for Oakley and Logan. What a special time! We were so grateful that my mom had the strength to be at the sealing. It was such an incredible feeling to be in the temple with Oakley and Logan as we got to witness them be married. We are so proud of both of them for making this decision.

These first few pictures are a few from the photographer. These last few were some taken by others and on my phone. We weren't sure with covid if anybody would come to the reception, but the people just kept coming and coming. We only had 350 cinnamon rolls so then I was a little stressed about that, but it actually was almost perfect. Both families took home about 20 cinnamon rolls so the numbers were almost right on. It really couldn't have been any more perfect!  What a beautiful day together celebrating young love and this new little family!

Wedding Dinner

The night before the wedding we had a wedding dinner at Stockman's with the Andrus family. It was so fun to sit around the big table and get to know Logan's family better. We couldn't be happier for these two!
I didn't take any pictures at the dinner, so I had to steal the one Lauren (Oakley's bff) posted on facebook. Oakley didn't feel very well that night and you can see it in her face. After the dinner they ran to Logan's house to open his birthday presents and by the time he brought her home she was in tears. We think it was her ovarian cyst acting up again. I had a hot bath ready and told her to hug him and tell him she'd marry him in the morning. Luckily she felt better after a hot bath and a good nights sleep! At midnight that night Rhett spiked a fever. I was in a panic that it was covid! I knew we couldn't cancel a wedding! I gave him some meds and shut his door and tossed and turned all night long!! Another blessing is that the fever never came back and he felt great the next morning as well. A few days later we discovered it was the start of a UTI. So blessed that everything worked out for the wedding day!

Cheer Competition Season

It's cheer competition season!! Wahoo!! The first competition the cheerleaders were able to go, but we had to watch it virtually. The state opened up a little more (covid) since then and so the next few we were able to attend in person! Yay! The cheerleaders are doing amazing this season for all the random things that have been thrown at them due to covid. So far they have won 1st's on everything, with the exception of one 2nd at the most recent competition losing their Show routine to Nampa. We will get them next time though! It is SO FUN watching Rhett's love for cheer and his competitiveness through all this. I'm so glad he found something he loves!

Oakley's Wedding Announcement

Rhett took the pictures, and Logan's sister Lindee designed these and they turned out great! We got several compliments on the announcements!

Oakley's Bridal Pictures

The day Oakley and Logan were scheduled to do bridal pictures was TERRIBLE weather. The photographer decided to cancel. Part way through the day though she text Oakley and said, things have settled down a little, lets hurry and try to do them. So Oakley did her make-up as fast as she could while I did her hair. Logan came and grabbed us and we headed to Rexburg within 30 mins of the text. To say it was FREEZING is an understatement!!! It was beyond FREEZING.....PLUS 40MPH winds didn't help! These two were amazing at putting on their smiles through the cold though and we came out with some GORGEOUS pictures...any maybe some frost bite! ;)

Oakley's Bridal Shower

We had Oakley's bridal Shower on January 9th. It was such a last minute thing (the whole wedding was....when you are only engaged 6 weeks. Hahaha!) we didn't know what kind of turn out we would have, but the people came and they filled the house. It was so fun celebrating Oakley! We did a "Home" theme where everyone was assigned a room. The ladies brought so many fun things for her new apartment. Our sweet friends Hollie and Lauren helped with all the desserts and came early to help us decorate. We seriously couldn't have done it without them!
