Home Repairs with Dad

With spending so much time at mom and dads we have had a few interesting days. This day I sent dad under the house to see where the funky smell in the bathroom keeps coming from. We found out the previous owners never put a P trap on the pipes when they plumbed it. I also learned just how scared of snakes my dad is. ;) We lucked out and he didn't see any thank goodness.

We also had a day that the sump pump stopped working in the basement and we had to figure out together how to reset it after cleaning up the flood it caused. I was also there the day he had to climb on the roof to repair a place against the chimney that was leaking into their attic. Mom was so stressed she made me go take a picture so she could see if he was being safe or not. Hahaha. Sweet mom worried about him. What a blessing it has been to spend so much time with my parents.

Dentist Appt

Just a regular old dentist appt where Laiklie steals my phone and leaves me 30+ selfies and videos. Such a funny kid! She not only took pics of herself, she got several of me and Rhett too. So random. Hahaha!

Volleyball

This girl has been playing her guts out this club season. The 2 of us have spent SEVERAL weekend traveling back and forth to games. Her and her team have come so far and we have seen so much improvement! I'm so proud of her. I could watch her play ball all day everyday.

I'll Go Inside Someday

On May 7th my cute niece Paige got to go inside the temple to take out her endowments. I was the lucky one that got invited to go with her!! Due to covid she was only able to have 16 guests and I was one of the lucky ones! What a blessing to be in the temple with her on her special day. I wouldn't have been anywhere else!! Being an aunt is by far one of my favorite jobs!

Greenhouse Helper

My dad sent me to the greenhouse for a couple items for his garden. He gave me instructions to send him a picture of the onions before buying them. This is the picture my little helper gave me to send him. Hahaha! What a goofball! I'm so glad that since she was just an itty bitty girl she has been my sidekick on my errands. I love having her tag along with me everytime!

Spring Recital 2021

Dance recital time again. It is always nice to have the Spring Recital over knowing we just have Nationals left to finish up the year. This was Oakley's LAST recital as a teacher though and we all shed a few tears. Teaching has been such a huge part of her life since she was 12/13 years old. It has pushed her out of her comfort zone at times and helped her develop a love of the kids and teaching in general. She has made so many lasting relationships through this incredible opportunity and has her own little fan club made up of her past students. What a blessing! She will be greatly missed by the dance studio.

Kas ordered a blanket that had pictures of all the teams Oakley has taught on it. What a special gift! She will cherish it forever. This was a great night and a great ending to an incredible dance teaching career.

Weak Sunday

Weak Sunday....no problem...zoom from bed! I'm so grateful for the example that these two have set for their family of their love of the Savior and His gospel.
