Stuck

We got a few inches of super wet snow yesterday evening after church. Oakley's friend Lauren came to grab something for Oakley and got stuck in the driveway, so I knew it was bad. It was slush on top of ice which isn't a good combo. Rhett made it to school fine this morning, but when he got home after cheer for his online class he came in to tell me he was stuck. I looked out the window and could tell it wasn't bad, but the tires on the Honda are terrible so we waited for Ryan to come help us. Ryan and I weren't able to push it out (just too slick) so Ryan threw the floor mat under the tire and got in to drive. He went back and forth over and over again and I could see he was getting more and more frustrated as he tried. He finally was able to back up but for some reason (Rhett and I still have no idea what he was doing/thinking) he didn't stop and turned the wheel right into my new lawn where he not only got stuck again, WORSE, but also tore the front bumper right off the car. Yikes!
So Rhett headed back to school in my suburban while Ryan and I got the car pulled out and put in the garage to get fixed hopefully this evening. What a mess! Seriously there is always something!

Frozen Jr - Fallon/Aniston

On Saturday I got to ride over to Twin Falls with my parents to watch my niece's Fallon and Aniston in the Frozen Jr play. I bought a ticket for Laiklie, but she couldn't get excited about the long drive so I left her home and took my little niece Sophia in her place. Such a fun day together and it was so good to see the same play that our drama club will be putting on in just 4 short weeks. Fallon was Sven and did an awesome job.....even out sung Elsa on the finale song....much to Elsa's dismay. Hahaha! Fallon just has the drama in her, she doesn't know how to be any other way. :) And Aniston was a great Snowflake in the snow chorus. So fun to be there!

Dentist Day

Rhett and I decided that we should definitely be documenting dentist day pictures! This is his numb smile after getting a cavity fixed this week! Love it! Hahaha!

Say Goodbye to the Mullet

Dallin finally agreed that it was time to cut the mullet off. It just got to where it was growing crooked and looked so scraggly. It was definitely time! It is so nice to have his hair back to what we are used to. Him and the mullet had a good long run together and I couldn't believe how much hair we cut off!

Oh Poor Dumb Cake the Cat

We came home from church last Sunday to find Cake like this! SO FUNNY! Somewhere Cake found a lunchmeat bag and apparently chewed through the whole thing and then got to wear it around like a collar for the day. Such a stupid cat!

Dallin's First Date

Dallin hasn't been in any hurry what so ever to start dating. So here we are at 17.5 years old and he finally went on his first date. I don't think it would have happened, except his cute 2nd cousin KayLyn pushed him into it. Thank goodness! KayLyn found a friend (Jocelyn Hill) for Dallin to take out and KayLyn went out with Dallin's friend Nathan. The boys took them to McDonalds and then to the Craze Fun Zone for mini golf and laser tag. Dallin said they played laser tag against a group of 6 little boys and the little boys killed them. 😂 It sounded like they had a good time.....and a very quiet date. Dallin is the most outgoing one in the group it sounded like and Dallin never talks. Hahaha!
You can't see his eyes in this picture, but lately when I tell Dallin "look at my eyes" (I've been telling my kids this since they were little so that I know I have their full attention) he looks directly over my head instead of actually looking at my eyes. Everytime he does it it makes me laugh and laugh. As he was headed out the door I was giving him all sorts of lectures on opening the door for her, asking her questions, wearing their seatbelts, etc and told him to look at my eyes.....this was what I got. Hahaha!

The next morning I was looking through Dallin's texts and found this one Nate had sent to him. It made me laugh. Oh Dallin! Such a funny kid!
"if she doesn't wear a jacket it's her problem!" He needs a few more lessons in how to treat the ladies apparently. ;)

2nd Cheer Comp

On January 11th Rhett and the BHS Cheerleaders had their 2nd competition of the season. They were definitely more prepared going into this competition which was weird because they only had 2 practices that week due to school being cancelled with all the snow. They looked so good though! They got 1st on their show routine out of 3 schools and 1st on their sideline routine out of 7 schools. So exciting! I'm so proud of how hard Rhett has worked at cheer this year!
