Car Accident

On January 8th Oakley woke-up sick to her stomach from high blood sugar levels.  We hate diabetes, by the way! We did a ton of insulin and a shot in her thigh (nothing I HATE more than having to give my girl shots!!) and then waited it out hoping she wouldn't start throwing up. :( About noon she started feeling well enough she decided she was good to go to school.  So after dropping her off I headed to Rexburg to pick-up my neice Leslie that had just started school up there that week.  Leslie and I had planned to go to lunch and I was so glad Oakley felt better so we could still go.
After lunch we hit a few stores and then headed back to Leslie's apartment.  We were stopped at a red light just visiting when all of the sudden we were HIT HARD from behind.  It scared us both and  whipped us around pretty bad.  We all jumped out and it was a cute little college girl that was so shaken up from hitting us.  She just wasn't paying attention.  I felt SO BAD! It scared her to death.  We couldn't see any initial damage so I took her number and we both headed off.  Once I got home I noticed that the back bumper from the back was fine, but on the sides of my car it was pushed up next to my back doors.  So there was some minor damage.  Leslie and I were so sore we could hardly move all weekend.  I had NO IDEA whiplash could hurt so bad!
Luckily my back and neck are almost feeling back to normal and we have an appointment to get the car fixed next week! Yay! So scary! It helped me to remember to not take things for granted and enjoy every minute of life!
