Bone Fire

The end of August we had a scare and loss.  A fire started near Idaho Falls and with several super windy days right in a row it burned and burned and burned.  It burned all the way up to our Ozone piece and ended up jumping the road and burning almost our entire piece of land there.  All the fences for 5 miles were burned completely.  The trees, grass, all of it just gone.  They were able to save the corrals and we had just finished cutting the grain there just a few days before, so we were so blessed.

Ryan and Dale spent day after day up their fighting fire trying to save peoples homes, animals, land and prevent it from spreading.  The fire moved like crazy and ended up over by Ririe where my brother Shane had cows.  It got close enough to his cows that he had to just push them into the pasture with the least amount of fuel to burn and then he had to leave and pray they would be okay.  We prayed like crazy for him.  When he was able to get back up to them it was black all around the field, but the field the cows were on was fine.  Another blessing!! It was a scary week and alot of damage was done that will take years and years to rebuild and reestablish, but we recognize our Heavenly Fathers hand in watching over us.
