Laiklie had her Spring Piano Recital on May 20th. She had to play two different songs and one of them had to be memorized. She of course picked the longer song to memorize. Funny girl! She did SOOO GOOD! She was the very first one on the program and was nervous about that, but she rocked it!
Laiklie also just tried out for the Advanced clogging team for next year and MADE IT!! She is growing so fast and it is such a fun thing to watch her turn into such an amazing big girl instead of the little girl I think she should still be.
She does do a few funny things though that remind me of how young and innocent she really is. Like the other day when we had this conversation in the car....
Dallin: Mom people are constantly flipping other people the bird at school and I hate it!
Laiklie: What does "flicking" the bird mean?
Me: It's not nice, so we don't do it.
Laiklie: Ya, but WHAT does it mean?
Me: It's like saying a swear word to them.
Laiklie: So like.............do you get to pick the swear word?
Bahahahahaha!!! I love this sweet girl!
She also had us all laughing till we cried last Sunday over dinner when we were talking about birds and them dying or something like that and she started in on a story about how possums babies die alot because possums only have 13 NIPPLES and so the babies that can't get to a NIPPLE DIE!! We seriously laughed until we couldn't breath anymore and she had no idea what we were even laughing about. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this sweet innocent little girl. She made me take her to town to buy MAKE-UP just two days ago because she NEEDED it!!! She is 9 going on 16!! ;)
