Oakley and Laiklie had the opportunity to go to Branson on a dance tour with Instep Clogging in June 2018 for a week. Both their cousins Sage and Ciara danced too this year so we made it a family affair AGAIN! No better way to do it! ;)
The trees in Missouri as we were preparing to land were incredible! I forget how many trees they really do have back east compared to where we live.
Laiklie and Ellie killing time at the airport. hahaha. We were glad that Nikell and Ellie chose to travel with the crazy Hawkins bunch. It was fun having them along for the ride.
We stayed at the Dutton Hotel again. The teams practiced in the parking lot every morning.
We got to do the Duck Tour, the Showboat, the Mountain Roller Coaster, the White Water Park, the go-carts, Silver Dollar City Amusement Park, the Dolly Parton Stampede and of course LOTS AND LOTS of dancing!!! And we maybe ate a little fudge too. ;) The girls performed as the pre-show 4 different nights. We performed for the Duttons, the Hughes Brother, an acrobatic show and the Dolly Parton Stampede. We had so much fun together! It was a great week with my girls!
And then there was one night where these 3 sketchy old ladies in their daughters/nieces costumes came sneaking around showing off their own dance moves. They may have been caught by a couple little dancers. No worries...they showed those little dancers how dancing was really done. HAHAHAHAHA!
Laiklie and Ellie could not get enough of the walking escalators in the airports. We had a great week, but we were glad to finally be headed home!
And yes, if anyone was wondering....Tara did kill the mannequin!😱
