Just as we were headed to the car to leave for the 4th of July Parade, Dallin spotted an owl in the back yard. He decided he was going to sneak up on it....funny thing is though.....it never moved. He got all the way up to it and realized it was injured. We were able to put it in our dog crate and into the shade for the day. The boys ran it into the Fish and Game office the next morning. A few days later we ended up with another injured one on the side of the road. So sad!
We went to the Rexburg Parade again this year for the 4th. Oakley got to be in it with her Italy Tour Team representing Rexburg's Summerfest. It was fun to know someone in it. We had a BBQ at the ranch with the Hawkins family after.
We also had a BBQ at my brother Shane's house that evening and fireworks in Menan like usual. I didn't get any pictures this year though. :(
